Tim Vargo grew up near Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Fairfax, Virginia while still in high school and went on to graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he first started writing fiction. While living in Virginia he had his first work of fiction reviewed by Creative Artists Agency for movie adaptation.

He moved back to Ohio in 1995 and wrote three more novels in the Buckeye State, including his latest novel Unbound which was picked up for publication by Willowgate Press. He now writes in Mansfield, Ohio where he lives with his wife, three children and dog Bruno.
