Margaret Lorene (Fisher) Wasser, 88, of Ashland, Ore., died Nov. 1, 2003.

She was born Dec. 26, 1914, in Kelso. She graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1933 and attended the University of Washington, College of Marin, Oxford University and the Portland School of Music.

Mrs. Wasser owned and operated Wasser Furniture Company in Kelso and Wasser's Furniture in San Anselmo, Calif. She was an interior designer and author. Simon and Schuster published her novel, The Priority, she had several short stories in national magazines and an interior decorating column in the Longview Daily News.

In 1935 she married Arthur Wasser. He survives her. A daughter, Karen Wasser, also survives.
