Art Wiederhold was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951 and developed an interest in writing and cartooning while in highs school (Bushwick). The artist/writer has traveled the world and worked at several professions. These include war correspondent, soldier, sailor, professional baseball player, restaurateur and reporter for several publications.

He currently lives in St. Louis, MO (in well-"haunted" home), with his wife Rosie and their son, Conrad.
